Compatibility towards different FlightSimulator versions
FS98
I began with EOD when FS2000 didn't even exist. So EOD is able to make objects
for FS98 but is optimized for FS2004 and therefore it is in some parts
incompatible with with CFS1/FS98! Simple objects like the cube, tree and the wall
shouldn't make any problems except of 'bleed through' trouble. But the more
complicated object (custom object, cylinder) do not work so well in FS98. I
cannot give you any FS98 support
CFS (1)
CFS 1 is between FS98 and FS2000. CFS supports Bitmap textures (with 256 colors)
but CFS has still the same 'bleed through' problems.
FS2000
EOD is fully FS2000 compatible
CFS2
I don't know much about CFS2, but EOD seems to be also compatible to CFS2
(except some texture formats)
FS2002
EOD is compatible to FS2002, except some details. EOD doesn't accept all texture
formats.
FS2002 has also problems with the "landing base"
object.
CFS3
I don't know, but CFS3 is (as far as I know) rather "unfriendly"
towards scenery designers...
FS2004
EOD is compatible to FS2004, except the same problems with the landing base as
mentioned for FS2002.
Future versions won't be supported, but if they support backward
compatibility, it might still be possible to use EOD (even though I wouldn't
recommend it)
