What is SCASM?
SCASM is a "scenery assembler" from Manfred Moldenhauer. SCASM is freeware and can be used with other free tools like Airport 2.6 or
EOD. SCASM converts a text file to a .BGL file which is understood by Flight Simulator. EOD does not work with SCASM directly. EOD generates API macro files that are imported into Airport 2.6. Airport 2.6 uses these API files and they are integrated into the scenery. SCASM then converts the scenery into a BGL file. Normally, Airport 2.6 comes with the latest version of SCASM, which can work with
FS200x instructions. However, it is recommended that the user checks that the latest version of SCASM has been obtained, and should be placed in the Airport 2.6 directory.
